The Three Words
Part A
My best creative piece of artwork before coming into this course is my digital illustration of The Rocks in Sydney. This work was done as a comprehensive study of Sydney's most historical site where each building is being treated with every detail. To understand the Architecture of The Rocks, I have digitally illustrated each individual buildings and windows then finished with with a touch of colour on Adobe Photoshop. What is interesting about this piece of work is that it is a mixture of modern and past. The architecture itself preserves the historical buildings in the past but when put into a digital illustration, our perspective immediately changes to a modern piece.
This great piece of architecture, The Guangzhou Opera House, is by the greatest female modern architect, Zaha Hadid. Zaha has incorporated her Mathematics skills to produce a parametric design. Despite it's aesthetic design, the building started to dismantled with large cracks on the walls and ceilings, glass panels have fallen from its windows, and rain has seeped relentlessly into the building. This project was a 130 million euro build over 5 years.
The meaning of beautiful varies. I chose the Santori Island in Greek as to something beautiful because of the cleanliness of the Island. The colour is so popped coloured that really pushes the boundary what an Island should be like. The structure of each building is beautiful in a way it is arranged.
